Switching Gears

Hi to all!  It's my Friday *WOOT!* so I'll be transitioning from banking balances, cashier's checks, and the world of numbers to Nadja's World, my cozy, comfy writing cave where I'll replace those numbers with letters, phrases, and the subjectivity of writing.  I'm so looking forward to my hours in the still quiet with my notebook and pencils.

This week, I plan to finish up my heroine's profile packet.  This will be a challenge, as I have a very busy work schedule after two *TWO!* glorious days off.  A day trip to a local lake beach will promote relaxation with my boys before my crazy return to work also.  Catching some sun next to the water sounds like a perfect way to *feel* summer...

A few new friends were found on Goodreads this past week, and I found out that The Historical Romance Critic  (Chris' reviews are found at Goodreads, but his blog has many wonderful reviews as well!) will read A Practical Arrangement ... (all smiles!)  I have done little promotion on my books, but have built on relationships, so I'll count it as a successful week.

Happy Monday!

  1. Enjoy time in your writing cave! I think you're starting to find a balance between working, family, and writing. That's hard to do, but it CAN be done.

    Relationships can help more than actual strong promotion, I think. Just my opinion. :)

    1. Lauralynn....I think you are correct! lol. It was a challenge, that's for sure.

      As for the relationships...I am much more comfortable focusing on that. In the future, I will look to hire a PR person/book promoter. I have to come to terms that promotion is not my strong suit. haha.

    1. Oh, Thanks, Angela! Two days in the sun - and water - did wonders for my state of *relaxation*. Just wonderful. :}

  5. Haha... :)

    Thank you, I'm having a very enjoyable summer. Which means, of course, that I've been spending far too little time on things that need to get done and far too much time on enjoying good books ;)

  6. I can never truly be sorry for enjoying good books! lol. I am currently reading a *follow up* on the Darcy's from Pemberly. I admit to reading every/anything Pride & Prejudice related. I need to add it to Goodreads. :) Glad you are having a great summer....it will be over too quickly for my taste!

  7. That's a very valid point, I don't think I can ever be truly sorry either :). That sounds fun, and yes - it's always nice to see what friends are reading on goodreads. Have you taken a look at An Unexpected Lady? It's one of the few P&P books I've read, and I really enjoyed it.
