Back To The Land Of The Living...

Another week begun...

Sundays are such great days.  That may sound a bit corny, but it's true.  It's a chance for a fresh start that comes around once every seven days.  After last week's bout ...I'm extra appreciative this Sunday!

Renewed commitment to honor the Sabbath is also producing unexpected rewards!  Refreshed, rejuvenated, and (dare I say it) expectant... for the new week is a terrific way to begin.  For any of you, who like me, struggle to take time to rest and recharge, taking a day of rest is satisfying in ways I did not imagine.  Now if I can only continue with my good habits...ha!  I'm infamous for convincing myself that I can sneak in work here or there and 'cheat'.

How do you recharge/prepare for the new week?

Goals, Goals, Goals...

*  I have a folder with approximately 10 images dedicated to the cover for my next book, The Third Fate.  I'll be sending all to my cover designer, at For The Muse Design

*  I have edited and revised through page 60!  Re-arranging, tweaking, adding, removing...it's all going on in my edits of The Third Fate.  I printed a copy of my entire novel, which has enabled me to curl up and edit without being glued to the computer screen!  I normally write long-hand, but because of the NaNo time crunch I wrote on the computer.  It was different, and I enjoyed pouring the story out so quickly, but I'll be back to my notebooks for the next novel!

*  Visiting was slow for me this week since I was down for the count a few days.  I still met my goals three of the five days.  Not too shabby ;}

*  CrossFit continues to be a fascination and has quite possibly become an addiction!

*  New story idea is taking shape!  Just this morning, I was brainstorming/daydreaming when a firm plot drifted through my imagination, prompting me to cry, "Eureka!  That's it!"  That never makes me sad.

Here's to a great week, ROW80's! ~ Nadja
This is my CrossFit group over the summer.

  1. I can't remember the last time I got a whole entire day to recharge but I do little things here and there. Like Sunday morning breakfast with the family, or my weekly chats with BFF. Definitely need to refill the well, LOL. Love it when a story comes together like that. Have fun exploring it! Have a great week Nadja.

  2. I try to take it easy on Sundays and get in a lot of family time. Taking a break from work helps clear the head a lot. Have a wonderful Sunday! :)

  3. Taking time to 're-fill the well' is becoming more important as I go on in my writing.
Raelynn....talking with BFF - or in my case sister definately helps! Good point!
    Christine... spending time with family. It's good. :}

  4. Hooray for new ideas! Crossfit looks terrifying though! So glad you are feeling bette and love the way you look at sundays....I get what I call 'sunday night feeling' at about 5pm which is basically the weekend is over blues. Will try and be more positive in the future!

  5. Great job with the editing, I found it works best when you do print out a hard copy and read it out loud. Crossfit traning is intense but amazing! Have a great Sunday.

  6. I just love it when new story ideas work their way into my brain. I need to start carrying a small notebook so I can write them down and don't forget them.

Good luck on the editing. I can't wait to read your next story!

  7. exciting when those ideas start germinating in the dark warm recesses of the brain:) one of my goals is to try and find a me time each week but not good at relaxing - need to be doing - the nearest I get is reading or gardening and that last is happening at moment!!!! so cold

all the best for coming week

  8. I'm not a fan of Sundays. Except for holiday weekends! :)

Good luck on the editing. It's one of my fav parts of the process!

  9. Yay for new story ideas and editing! I hope you're feeling better after your bout of sickness.

Okay, I got really excited about this so I have to share! One of my goals for the year is to do something regularly that I haven't done before. So, there I was, innocently looking up yoga classes and what do I find? CrossFit classes!

I don't know...*chews lip* The photos of the people doing CrossFit looked hard!

  10. glad you're feeling better and bouncing back! that's the beauty of goals - they are forgiving, and you can adjust them :)

  11. Sounds like you're doing great! I love editing without the computer too. Amazing how much you can catch!

  12. Yeah! Always awesome to start out the week with a breakthrough! Rock it, lady! :)

  13. You did really well! I agree - it's nice to take a day to recharge. I need to do it more often. :)

  14. So glad you had a fantastic Sunday! Good for you :-) I can't wait for that new novel to be released. Keeping my fingers crossed.

  15. Oh, thanks, Angela! I'm editing like a mad-woman...lol.
Ghenet - hope the new job is going well.
Deniz - I find soooo much more with a hard copy. Plus I think it's easier on my eyes.
    J.R. - 'rockin-it'...ha.
Gina - Yes. Adjusting during the stomach bug is a MUST. Honestly, I didn't care about goals, dinner, laundry...pretty much anything. That's when you know a woman is sick. haha.
Komal - CrossFit???? Woo-hoo. How exciting!
Claudia - Hope Sunday's get better...thanks for the editing luck sent my way..
Alberta & Lauralynn - Me too! This is such an exciting part of the process for me.
M.M. - So nice to meet you. Thanks for stopping by.
Em - I admit...I get sad about the weekend ending too...but it happens when Saturday ends...not Sunday, since Sunday is the day I go 'back to work'...
