The Third Fate Blog Tour!

Happy Wednesday, fellow ROW80 friends!  It's mid-week check-in...

Exciting news!  At least for this author :}  The Third Fate's book tour!

NADJA NOTARIANI: Author of The Third Fate,
Tour April 29th through May 12th

BLURB:
~ 'One Fate be granted mortal man, used for evil or good as the inner voice directs. Alas, the divine spark draws the eyes of the Fates, the Second Fate sparingly gifted by their hands. Be warned offspring of the gods; guard your gifting well. For if the Third Fate be unleashed, the soul lays bare before one so touched by the gods.' ~

Cautious and quiet by nature, Paige Kinnell watches life unfold from the sidelines, maintaining her simple existence as a shield to hide behind. But underneath her shy, careful ways, Paige senses a disconnect with the world around her, indulging instead her ever curious interest in the legend and lore of time nearly forgotten.

One chance encounter with an ancient of the undead begins an unraveling of reality as Paige knows it, leaving her to sort through dreams and enchantments, discovering along the way that one's Fate can be mere illusion, and that the consequences of opening her heart to another may cost dearly.

Cael Maccinnis, the handsome Highlander she's met, seems the answer to every unspoken longing of her heart, even as he awakens dark, secret desires buried within her soul. As strange and unnerving changes begin occurring in her mind and body, Paige has no choice but to face her life's unnatural turn and confront the frightening implications. For within Paige's past a secret lay dormant, hidden even from her. This truth, guarded well and wielded by the Fates themselves, becomes the catalyst invoking the power of The Third Fate.

I'm bubbling over!  There will be chances to win a copy of The Third Fate, so stop by and visit at one or more of my stops.  I'd love to see you there.

On the Writing Front...

Things are swimming along, with nearly a chapter completed in my newest baby!  This story is shaping up to be great fun to write, and my fingers are crossed it remains so...really.  Ha!  The hero and heroine I've created using this wonderful character profile packet (find it here ) promise to spark tension galore as they assess one another and attempt to figure out who they are in relation to one another.  It may seem a bit much the first time you complete it, but I've found it adds so much depth to my characters as I write.  I love it.

My goal, tentatively, is a chapter a week now that the writing is underway.  A great deal of story is crammed into these chapters, so I'll evaluate after the first two chapters for length issues.  I've outlined sixteen chapters, I believe, so this puts me on track to finish in roughly four and a half months (I'm also allowing for a two week summer vacation).  Late September.  Allowing a month for edits and beta reads, the end of October is the publishing goal I'm aiming for.

Well....Make Hay While The Sun Shines, they always say.  I'm off to make some right now.  Happy writing!

    1. Thanks, Lauren! This is the novel I wrote during NaNoWriMo, can you believe it?

I've never done a blog tour before. I actually got the idea from Alberta Ross over at Sefuty Chronicles. I went the easier route and hired Innovative Online Book Tours to set a schedule and line up bloggers and such.

I'm hoping this gets the word out about The Third Fate! :) You have a wonderful week, too!

    2. I couldn't figure out how to reply so that you'd see it, so I'm commenting here LOL. On Divergent: Do you read YA at all? Here's the Goodreads link: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8306857-divergent

    3. Oh! Thanks. I don't usually read YA, but I took a chance on The Hunger Games and loved it (the first one, anyway), so on a strong recommendation I would try it. But I also have an avid reader niece who I pass things along to.

    4. Hunger Games is actually why I read this LOL. If not for you, your niece would probably love it. Definitely don't read the spoiler if you plan on reading it or if you want to stay mum while she reads it because it spoils EVERYTHING hehehe.

  3. Glad things are going so well with you! Thanks for the profile packet link....I really need to put some flesh on my characters bones.

Have a lovely rest of your week!

    1. I hope you get good use from it. At the end, I sometimes skip a few of the questions - if I feel I've already covered the material in an earlier question.

Love that line, Em....'put some flesh on my character' bones'.

  5. Congrats on the book tour, first of all, on The Third Fate. Secondly, good luck on your goal. I fail miserably when I try to outline each chapter. You must have an excellent grasp on what you want to say. I admire that so much!

    1. Thanks, Kate. I decided to give it a whirl. Exposure has proved difficult waters for me to navigate. Finding a good balance between promoting and writing hasn't come to me as of yet. I want to concentrate mostly on writing, but figured it would be a good idea to market this book in some way. I hope the exposure will boost sales - especially as I've not written a paranormal before, so I have no repeat audience for the most part. We'll see. I've been very pleased with Innovative Online Tours. I'll probably create a post after the whole 'sha-bang' to chronicle my experience. Ha...!

  6. Congrats on your upcoming blog tour! It must be so exciting! (And yes I'm totally clapping and cheering here for you!) Great work on your progress this round with your writing. I really need to get back to writing-I get grumpy when I don't, lol! (And P.S.: Thanks for the link to the character packet! I totally bookmarked that since I need to work on some background for my characters in my latest WiP!)

  7. You are going to be smokin' around the blogosphere. Blog tours can be exhausting but they can bring a lot of exposure. Good luck.

    1. Oh! I sure hope so...lol. And yes...I was just telling another friend that I feel like a big old windbag with all this talking about myself, my book, myself...lol. Keeping it creative and fun is my goal - and it sure takes up considerable time. Thanks for the luck, Maria!

    1. We all have those weeks... They remind us to appreciate 'boring' ones...right? Ha!

Love the tribute you posted to your father, Christopher. Again, I'll tell you that you convey gut-wrenching emotion through your writing. I admire the skill.

  10. Hey Nadja, with the A to Z blogging over - phew - I wanted to see if it's okay if I do an off-tour post still for The Third Fate. I wanted to spotlight it on Friday, May 11th. I know your tour has someone else that day but mine will just be my brief thoughts regarding my enjoyment of it :-) Give me a holler and I'll get it scheduled
